GENERAL DISCUSSION

The course promotes innovative design thinking and cultivates an ethos of experimentation befitting postgraduate study in a school of Art and Design. It aims to generate unique responses to market trends and technological demands, nurturing an understanding of contemporary design within global contexts.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

A first class or second class upper division first degree (1st or 2.1 degree classification) in an appropriate subject, and/or equivalent professional standing or experience in a design, design crafts, or creative Industries discipline (based upon assessed Accredited Prior Learning or assessed Accredited Prior Experiential Learning), or a discipline associated with their program of study, which could include business studies, and business management.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • IELTS: 6.5 overall with 6.5 in both Reading and Writing and no band less than 6.0
  • PTE: Overall 52 with no score less than 51
  • Cambridge English (Advanced): Overall Scale of 169 with no component score lower than 162
