GENERAL DISCUSSION

MA Contemporary Textiles is an award within the postgraduate program there is strong emphasis on professional practice and the real-world applications of art and design. You will develop key research skills and gain a good understanding of the work of other practitioners in your field.

This course gives students the opportunity to explore areas such as textiles and new materials, textiles and performance, and the connections between contemporary textiles, fashion and interior design.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

An undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) from a recognized university in a relevant subject and a digital portfolio along with written statement describing applicant’s practice and ambitions.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • IELTS: 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all areas).
  • PTE (Academic): 60
  • Cambridge English Scale: B2
  • London Tests of English: we accept level 5 for postgraduate courses
  • International GCE O Level English Language: Grade C
  • International GCSE English or English as a Second Language: Grade C.
